Legendary | Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian

For my last Video, a Mount Guide for the Fiery Warhorse, i came on the Idea to show off Atiesh. This legendary can summon a Portal directly to Karazhan, where the mount drops.

I have seen the Items a few times ingame and didn't thought it would be hard to find a Person who has it on such high populated realms as Outland or Blackrock, but it was. After a two hours of searching in Tradechat and a lot of whispers asking me if that Legendary was fake like all the other legendary Items that get posted in Tradechate, I started stalking people through Power of Google and the Armory. Lucky me the fifth hit or something was an Article about the Guild Borked who just (9. November'06) got their third one of these. There are still two people in this Guild with the Staff, which are actively playing and raiding in wod. I got hold of Fs and they helped me with my Video. On this search I gathered a lot of Information about the Staff that I want to share.

Questchain:

• The Questchain starts with collection 40 Splinter of Atiesh from the Bosses in old Naxxramas ( this is the reason it's not longer obtainable)
• If you combine them you'll get the Frame of Atiesh, which starts a Quest with the same name and sends you to Anachronos infront of the Caverns of Time
• The following Quest Atiesh, the Befouled Greatstaff sends you to get the last two Pieces of the Staff. The Staff Head of Atiesh drops from Kel'thuzard (Naxxramas Endboss) and the Base of Atiesh drops from C'thun (Temple of Ahn'Qiraj Endboss)
• The next Quests is available in four forms, one for each Class that can get the Staff Druid, Warlock, Mage and Priest. The Questobjective is the same only the reward is different. The Quest is named after the Legendary and provides a corrupted version of the staff, which you have to cleanse in Stratholm. This Cleansing summons a Demon called Atiesh, that you kill with a Legendary that is summoned and only usable during this fight with the name Andonisus, Reaper of Souls. The completion of this Quest will then finally reward you with the Legendary Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian.

Other Infos:

• The first Atiesh was made by Failure from the Guild Risen in September'06
• If you encounter Shade of Aran in Karazhan while having the Staff equipped, he will yell "Where did you get that, did he send you!?". Aran is the Father of Medivh, the last owner of the Staff.
• The Ribbon of the Staff is different depending on your Class. Warlock is blue, Priest is white, Druid is green and Mage is Red. The on that Medhiv has in The Black Morass Instance also has the red ribbon.

• The Staff gives your Group the Buff Power of the Guardian which currently increases critical strike by 36. Currently, because somehow this Buff got hit by the 6.0 scaling, this bonus increases from lvl 60 to lvl 90.
• Sometimes ghostly Raven spawn from the Staff; Medhiv could transfrom himself into a Raven.

After all these Information about the Staff i really want to do a Guide on how to obtain this Item, even though you can't anymore. I mean there is no real Video on Youtube from start to finish for this Legendary and some players don't even know it exists.
